In a heartbreaking situation, the beloved resident turtle, known as Shelly by all who encountered her, met an untimely end. It started with what seemed like a harmless outing through the park. According that Shelly wandered too far from her familiar patch, and unfortunately came upon a hungry fox. The town is profoundly saddened by this departure.
